The perfect holiday party addition – The Loft Kitchen
If you are looking for a no-fail, winner for your holiday party circuit, then look no further than this tantalizing mouth-watering dish.
This nacho dip is certain to be the talk of your table and I guarantee will leave you with several requests for the recipe!
We used beef this particular time, but always change it up according to moods. Sometimes we opt for chicken, ground turkey, or even plant-based hamburger substitutes. Trust us, the additional cheeses and flavors are sooooooo scrumptious that no matter what type of meat/non meat you decide to with will work just as well. So here it goes…
Ingredients:
- Ground beef (you can substitute with chicken, turkey meat or plant based sub)
- ½ cup Velveeta Cheese
- ½ cup shredded Block Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Cream Cheese
- ¼ cup sliced or diced jalapeno peppers (if desired)
- ¼ cup diced sweet onion
- ¼ cup diced green pepper
- 2 table spoons chili pepper
- 1 table sea salt
- 2 table spoons onion powder
- 1 table spoon paprika
- Sour cream and cilantro as garnish (add for taste topping or just for visual)
Preparation:
First cook ground beef in a skillet and drain. (You can also throw everything into a crockpot if you want to avoid the skillet).
After draining, add the sweet onion, green pepper, & seasonings & cook up for 5 minutes.
Add the cheeses, constantly stirring for about 3 minutes.
After combining all of the ingredients and stirring for a total of about 10 minutes – Pop into the oven at 350 after adding another layer of shredded cheddar cheese for about 5-7 minutes.
When finished add a topping of sour cream, cilantro, & jalapenos if you choose.
