Yes folks, we know, it’s camping. Who really wants to be in a tent, when you can sleep in a nice bed at a Luxury Hotel somewhere?
Well, your kids for one.
What is the #1 thing your kids really want from you? They simply want your time. They want you to be around them and giving your full attention to them as much as you can. They want you off your phone, off your laptop, and want you to turn off your tv. They want you, and they want you to be 100% present. They do not want you to be there constantly distracted and half listening to them – & trust that they do know the difference.
Camping really gives you the chance to be 100% present, and unplugged from the rest of the world. You’re creating lasting memories with your kids which they will remember and carry with them the rest of their lives. Camping offers you a chance to really connect with your kids or your spouse.
Even if it rains the whole time and your all wet and miserable, that is an experience that you can share and survive together. Something that you can look back on and know that you forged through with each other. Chances are, looking back, you will remember the time fondly despite any misery, and if not, at least you all have a nice story you can tell in the future.
Besides, there is just something about being outside, under the stars, unplugged from the rest of the world that really gets inside your soul. Something that speaks to the primitive ancestor inside you. Something that makes you feel one with nature and really present in the world.

We recently headed out to Camping World, for an amazing day! We were able to shop around for the latest camping, and glamping gear for those who like to be a little posher while out in nature. We also got to look at their RV selection, which was a lot of fun. The kids had a ball trying to find the coolest one, with the best bunk bed selection. The idea of us hopping in an RV and crisscrossing the country and Canada is more than appealing to us.
Whether we are camping out in Boise, Idaho, Volcano National Park in Hawai’i, Nova Scotia Canada or Idlewild Michigan, we know it will be a spectacular time that we will never forget!
