Grab your fried Green tomatoes and Sweet tea and come on..
If you are passing through or live anywhere near the beautiful and charming city of Charleston, you have to stop and take note. Soak in the slow southern ambiance and mossy green trees. Smell the coast and feel the warm sun on your skin as you walk a few of the cobblestone streets. Charleston, the South Carolina port city founded in 1670, is defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses, particularly in the elegant French Quarter and Battery districts. The Battery promenade and Waterfront Park both overlook Charleston Harbor, while Fort Sumter, a federal stronghold where the first shots of the Civil War rang out, lies across the water.
To our surprise and delight, the city had a very unique and quaint charm with a ton of things to do and see for families with young children and old!
Stop and enjoy a delicious pretzel outside of an art gallery, take a horse-driven carriage ride, head to a museum or take a leisurely stroll on the gateway along the vast Atlantic. These are all things that will tantalize your senses and place you in a calm trance while visiting this captivating city.
