Black Eyed Pea Hummus

Looking for a change of pace from your same old, same old?

Let’s mix it up a bit….

…or maybe you don’t like Black Eyed Peas by themselves, and are just looking for a way to knock some down to have good luck in the New Year.

This is a perfect recipe to really get out of the usual routine and try a whole new spin on a regular classic.

Ingredients:

  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Fresh lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 can black-eyed peas, drained

Directions:

  • Load up the old Food Processor
  • Add all ingredients to the food processor and process for until smooth, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
  • Serve with pita wedges, chips, or crackers.
  • Enjoy!!
