If you are traveling to Hawaii, you are obviously in for a long trip. It’s a good thing they haven’t built the bridge yet as it seems it might be a long drive. Also, it’s not closer to Japan than California – in case that needed to be cleared up. If you are going to commit to making the long commute, the best thing you can do is give yourself plenty of time to visit every island. Each island has its own feel, and each one is totally unique from all the others. Really, you can spend an entire vacation on each island if you wanted but then you are…

Here are a few Halloween-like traditions from around the world we thought you’d be interested in. Exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, MI

The Legend A mother bear and her two cubs, were out in the night looking for food in Wisconsin. There was a big forest fire, and the only way to get out of it was to swim across the great Lake Michigan. The cubs and the momma bear started swimming, and the next morning the momma bear made it to the other side of the lake. She rested on a high bluff looking for her cubs. Unfortunately, the cubs both drowned, but the momma bear continued to wait, hoping her cubs would show up. Unfortunately, they never did, but instead, two islands were formed where the cubs were laid to…

    Getting In Tune With Nature

There is nothing like fresh morning air. We deeply enjoy early morning walks where we carve our own personal time to commune with nature and our surroundings. Every place we have lived and traveled we have immensely enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods, trails, woods and wildlife. Although each location has been beautifully unique, the one constant in all is a peaceful joy when taking morning walks or jogs. Taking a deep breath, inhaling the possibilities of the day, and reflecting on the great joys, and blessings of life keeps us centered, focused and recharged. Observing nature tends to keep us grounded and opens our eyes and hearts up for the true…

    Support The National Park Trust

Aloha – I’m Ace. I am 11 years old, and in the 6th Grade.  Beautiful Hawai’i is my home, however I split most of my time also in Florida and Colorado in between traveling with my fun family.  I love playing basketball and baseball and exploring the outdoors with my little brother Kingston.  Maybe you’ve seen me hosting an episode of PBS Hawaii (no big deal), maybe you have seen me in a video honoring Senator Mazie Hirono for the National Park Trust, or maybe you have seen the Youtube Channel that my brother and I run.  Either way, today, I want to talk to you about The National Park…

    Beautiful San Juan Puerto Rico

There are plenty of options when visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico. We happened to take a family cruise vacation that left out of the port there a few years back. Our time in San Juan was phenomenal. We toured the famous cobblestone streets, shopped, gambled in the casino, and really enjoyed our trip to one of the famous forts. It was affordable yet fantastic. We certainly can’t wait to return to see the rest of this beautiful island. However, if you are visiting San Juan, here are a few interesting and fun ways to spend your time. Gotta Go Back In Time!
