Crispy Baked Honey BBQ Huli Wing Dings

Inspired By Our Time At Marriott Lakeshore Reserve – Orlando, FL

Looking for a quick fix guaranteed to please the appetizer or last minute main dish option? Look no further than this delectable and easy to prepare Finger Lickin’ Good Offering.  We tasted a version of this gem while visiting the spectacular Marriott Lakeshore Reserve in Orlando a Mariott Bonvoy experience. Upon returning home we immediately had to recreate it and  put our own Loft Kitchen spin on it adding a Hawaiian flare.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot mustard
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup green onion
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Canola oil / coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup finely crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of Sriracha sauce
  • Fresh Chicken Wing Dings
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Add chicken wings to a large bowl. Pat chicken dry. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of canola oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Make sure to thoroughly coat all the chicken. Place chicken on a wire rack lined baking sheet or tin foil. 
  3. Bake for 40 minutes, flipping the chicken after 20 minutes.
  4. Turn the Broiler on to HIGH. Place chicken under broiler to brown. May take around 10-15 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, heat a medium sauce pan to medium heat. Add BBQ sauce, honey, finely crushed pineapple, mustard, soy sauce and sriracha sauce. Stir and bring to a simmer, let simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. Remove chicken from the oven. Then proceed to place meat in a large bowl, pour the Honey Huli BBQ  mixture sauce over the chicken wings. Flip the wings to coat all of them with the deliciousness.
