My favorite go-to’s for the holiday blues..

This is the season for joy, giving, laughing and sharing. But as every year I would like to acknowledge those who are stuggling, remembering loss and feeling sadness during this time of year. A true hug or sentiment of kindness goes along way. And you just never know who may need it. So a few of my very favorite pick me ups when feeling sad and blue are as follows:

  1. CeCe Winans – Everlasting Love CD. Yup, I dated myself and said cd… Or grab your favorite artist on download…
  2. Watch the movie “The Shack” – It is one of the most profoundly deep and touching movies ever. It demonstrates the power of love and introspection and how it can overcome even the darkest of tragedies and despair.
  3. Call a friennd or family member that you know will make you laugh, smile or recall a wonderful memory. Then read the book “The Secret”
  4. Do something nice for someone out of the blue! Yes, a random act of kindess is a guaranteed, surefire way to quickly get you out of the dulldrums. Trust me, you may not think it ould work, but as soon as you go out of your way to spread joy, and then watch the other persons face or hear the gratitude in thier voice, it’s just downright infectious and it goes straight to your hear and turns a fown upside down instantly. Try it!
  5. Lastly, find your favorite comedian and binge watch thier movies or any comedy that you just can’t turn away from… smile, push thorugh the pain. I promise their is golden energy and light waiting on the other side.

Sending Love, Hugs, and Well Wishes to All,
