Slow Cooker Spicy Hot Chocolate

If you are hitting the slopes, sledding in the back yard or just a little chilly, this is the perfect drink to make for you and your family!!! It’s chocolatey goodness with a bit of a spicy kick. Great for kids and adults alike, this recipe is sure to please.

All you need are the following:

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/4 ounce can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 7 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup of Heavy Cream (can use half & half, but cream gives the best results)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • Marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate chips etc. for garnish!

Instructions:

1. Place the cocoa powder, condensed milk, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, semisweet chocolate chips, cayenne pepper and milk chocolate chips in a slow cooker.

2. Stir to combine.

3. Cook on LOW for 2 hours.

4. Stir well until thoroughly mixed.

5.T urn the slow cooker to KEEP WARM setting until you’re ready to serve the hot chocolate.

6. Garnish with marshmallows and/or whipped cream and caramel if you truly want to go all the way to sugary heaven!
