Oh what a time we had in Breckendridge Colorado!
Tis the season to be Jolly, I wish I had the proper words to describe the pristine beauty sitting atop the Colorado rockies. The mountains were exploding with pops of vibrant green through the pillow of white cloudy puffy snow! Sprinkles of sunshine danced off of the leaves and snowflakes creating an absolute marvel of a sight and experience! We recently had the pleasure of celebrating Colin’s birthday at the Grand Lodge at peak 7 in Breckenridge and it was a ski lover’s dream! Or better yet a winter vacation lovers dream as I did not ski. But there was so much more than shredding to do in order to…

Nature’s Refuge
Simplicity in a time of chaos. In today’s times it is so abundantly clear that there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish all of the items on our to-do lists. Everyone seems to be racing at light speed to get here or there, shuttling kids to one gathering to another, impressing clients, or bosses to climb up the corporate ladder. While hurling through life at warp speed to reach goals and milestones, everyone seems to just be getting their actual life spoon fed to them by means of social media, phone messages and endless texts. Everything rushed, nothing truly appreciated. I enjoy and need my time walking,…

Weekend Exploration in your own backyard!
So often we hear people saying that “Until guests come to town, they never experience or take advantage of their own city in which they live. It is so easy to give into routine and shuffle from school/work/kids sports or regular trips to the store and hobbies, that we often neglect the benefits and events in our own radius. Always dreaming or planning to venture off somewhere that we are not can sometimes lead to not seeing and appreciating the beauty of where we are now. I have spoken to several people who live in New York, who have never been to the Statue of Liberty, The top of the…

Escape to Black Sand Beach
Punalu’u, Hawai’i Hanging out at the secluded and serene Punaluʻu Beach beach also known as Black Sand Beach. is a magical experience that must be shared by all. Punaluʻu Beach is a beach between Pāhala and Nāʻālehu on the Big Island of the U.S. state of Hawaii. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools. This volcanic activity is in the Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Punaluʻu is frequented by endangered hawksbill and green turtles, which can often be seen basking on the black sand. We often visited in between trips from Honaunau down…
