New Year, New Attitude!!!
Utilize the power of positive thoughts and feelings to manifest your goals and dreams. The Christmas gifts have been exchanged, iced sugar cookies have been eaten, and now the New Year’s resolutions have been declared…..So now what? That’s right, how are this year’s declarations and resolutions going to be achieved where so many others in the past have been abandoned by valentine’s day? Let’s make this the year we change our attitudes instead of our plans and goals. Let’s shift how we think and focus on what and how we feel instead. That’s right, instead of thinking about what you want, think of how you would like to feel. Visualize…

My favorite go-to’s for the holiday blues..
This is the season for joy, giving, laughing and sharing. But as every year I would like to acknowledge those who are stuggling, remembering loss and feeling sadness during this time of year. A true hug or sentiment of kindness goes along way. And you just never know who may need it. So a few of my very favorite pick me ups when feeling sad and blue are as follows: Sending Love, Hugs, and Well Wishes to All, XOXO Holiday Rising

Dash into the holiday spirit, with the “Attitude of Gratitude”
The quickest way to help boost your mood and improve your outlook on life and circumstances is to have the “attitude of gratitude”. We were first introduced to this concept at the boys school in Hawai’i, at Honaunau. This attitude of gratitude takes a no holds barred approach to how you see things. Being grateful for everything around you and your many blessings, affords you a rosy outlook that is infectious. It helps to kick start the day and helps you see everything with a fresh set of unjaded eyes, like a newborn. To a newborn or toddler, everything is new, shiny, cool and fresh and offers joy and wonder.…

Vote, Vote, Vote!
In today’s times and political climate, it’s very easy to get frustrated, disheartened, and overwhelmed. With the country and world more divided than ever with divisive, hurtful, and shameful rhetoric, it’s important to do your part in bringing peace, justice, and democracy truly into the equation. I Implore everyone to make their voices heard by standing up and making a difference at the polls!! Let us all be focused and fierce at the voting booth!! Join the likes of Kerry Washington, Actress/Producer, and Director, Marian Stepter, my Beautiful Sister and Retired teacher of the year from Michigan, and Motivational Senator Raphael Warnock. They represented out and about in Atlanta at…

Appreciative of Good Deeds and Kind Hearts
Spreading Kindness and Joy! I would love to talk about sharing a piece of yourself with someone. Giving a thought, talent and or time to someone can show others you care more than you know. What may feel like a little gesture could end up meaning the world to someone else. I love it when strangers hold the door open for you and hold your glance with a kind gleam in their eye and likewise when, you do the same for them they respond with a thoughtful thank you that comes from the heart. Or when a person goes out of their way to ask someone how they are truly…

Turning old ideas into Gold!!
Stuck in a mental rut? Having trouble being innovative, creative or just plain exciting at work and or home? Try dusting off some old ideas and giving them a full work out! Yes, do you remember that old mind blowing idea you had on the last vacation? You Know, the one that had you screaming Eureka!!! At the top of our lungs while sipping delicious cocktails oceanfront with your mate. Yes, that idea, that had you all aflutter for the tune of exactly 6 days…. That’s when you boarded the plane to come home and lost the fire and passion for the project. Well my friends, it’s time to dust…

It’s time to relax, relate and release!
Ever look at a child’s face when they are handed their favorite double scoop special order of ice cream with brownie when they are going in for their first bite? Witnessed a baby figuring out the art of the magical peek a boo smile? Observed a chef’s reaction to tasting their utterly magnificent creation? A dancer’s locked in poise and resolve as they hit their groove? How about my very favorite, the look on a child’s face along with their parents reaction to walking the great pathway on main street towards Disney Worlds magic castle. These are all moments of sheer bliss that transcend thoughts, stress and reason. They are true…

Taking a few steps back to take giant leaps forward
I’m sure we have all been in a position where we have felt like we are hitting our head against a huge roadblock brick wall that can’t be penetrated. You know that feeling that no matter how fast you’re running your legs seem like jelly and you just can’t seem to get to the finish line. Sometimes it is in these exact moments when we need to take advice from our dear friend the tortoise and pause or even slow down to the point of shutdown. Now this doesn’t mean quitting the race, more like stopping to take a deep breath, grab water, and just breathe. For some, this is…
